Dining Room

I am starting a series of posts on finished rooms.
This is the first one.
The dining room is totally finished!

This is the view when you first step in the house from the entryway.

I love this room.

Large did all the trim work and these pictures do not do his handy work justice.

The board and batten was a lot of work!

The upper part of the wall has grass cloth wallpaper on it.
It turned out just the way that I envisioned it.

This is a shot of the ceiling.

Now that we have one room completely finished, I had to add this beautiful plant that I got from my besties, (Lora - Connie - Marilyn) at my grandma's funeral that we had this morning.

Large is really getting things done around here.

More pictures to come!

Next is the "Exit" room.

Work On The House

Thought I would update you a little on the work that Large is doing on the new house.

This is a picture of the 1/2 bath.

Right now he is working on taking the door out and putting in one that swings the other direction.

Love, love, love the black and white tile.

The antique, restored light is hung, now I'm looking for a couple of shades for it.

Large has hung the grass cloth wallpaper in the hallway.

Now he is working on the board and batten.

The Master Bedroom is finished!!!

The Family room has been painted in a dark teal and trimmed out in white.

The crown molding is all that is left to do in here.

The entryway is being painted white.

Large's office is coming along.
Yes, that is a green and orange wall.

The dining room is ready for the grass cloth wallpaper to go up.

Slowly but surely it is all getting done.

Large has set a move in date of April 1st.

Yay!!!

What do you think so far????

I would love to hear your opinion.

1/2 Bathroom Floor Is Down

I realize it has been quite awhile since I have posted anything on the new house.

We are working on the 1/2 bath in the main part of the house right now.

Big Ran and I decided to go with black and white for the color scheme.

The floor is made up of 2 inch black hexagon tiles with white grout.

Since my breast cancer diagnosis, we have slowed down a lot on the house project, we have been spending many hours at doctors appointments.

I have also spent many hours recovering from the surgery and chemotherapy.

We are very determined people though!

What do you think about the tile?

I AM LOVING IT!!!!

Master Bedroom Flooring

We have been working on the flooring in the Master Bedroom.

Well, actually I haven't been helping too much.
I have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Last Friday I had a mastectomy on my right breast.
We go to the doctor tomorrow and find out what happens next.

Sooooooooooooooo  Big Ran got a couple of smaller helpers to help him for a while.

This is a picture of our two little grandsons, Michael and Hudson.

He has much better help now.

We are still working on the upstairs.

This is a sneak peek at the tile in the bathroom.

This is a picture of the light in the stairway from the first stair.

It's pretty cool!

Well, I better get back to work!!

Lots more to do!

Let me know what you think.

How Do You Like Gray?

The master bedroom is painted!

I painted the ceiling white and the walls gray.

This is what is left of the lighting that I had planned for this room.
There was an accident.

Lucky for me, I found this replacement on eBay!

It's all coming together.
