Happy 4th of July
I thought I would show you how the guest room is decorated for this holiday.
I am loving the vintage sheets and bed cover!!
My granddaughter number 2, Gracyn, helped me decorate in here.
She calls this her room!
I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday!!!
God Bless

Ready for the 4th
I have decorated the porches in the good old red, white, and blue.
I love the patriotic colors.
Below is the sitting area by the front door.
This is how I have decorated the side part of the porch in the front.
I love the sound of the running water in the fountain!
I haven't painted this door yet, I can't decide if I should go with the black, like the front door, or go with red, or maybe even white.
Decisions, decisions!!
This is what the porch off the master bedroom looks like.
Have a happy 4th of July!!

The Exit Room
Here is the second post in a series of finished rooms.
In case you missed the first one it was on the dining room.
I'm going to start posting the rooms that we have finished as we finish them.
In case you missed the first one it was on the dining room.
I'm going to start posting the rooms that we have finished as we finish them.
They are not cleaned or decorated, but they will all have flooring, lighting, and all of the construction done on them.
This is the "EXIT" room.
This room is to the left when you walk in the house from the garage.
This room is to the left when you walk in the house from the garage.
This view is from the back porch looking in through the hallway and ending at the half bathroom door.
The walls are painted green.
The trim is all white.
The door to the right is oak, it leads to the attic above the garage.
The picture below is from the hallway out to the back porch.
We are planning on adding a pool out there where all that nice dirt is as soon as we can.
So, when that is done, you will be able to get from the pool to the half bathroom easily.
This porcelain tile is what we have in here, the hallway, and the entry way.
You can't tell by the pictures here, but this flooring has brown, tan, and grey in it.
This is why I refer to this small hallway as "The Exit Room".
I found this light on Ebay and I couldn't resist!
Needless to say, it was the starting point for this room.
Next up in the series is the upstairs hallway.

Work On The House
Thought I would update you a little on the work that Large is doing on the new house.
This is a picture of the 1/2 bath.
Right now he is working on taking the door out and putting in one that swings the other direction.
Love, love, love the black and white tile.
The antique, restored light is hung, now I'm looking for a couple of shades for it.
Large has hung the grass cloth wallpaper in the hallway.
Now he is working on the board and batten.
The Master Bedroom is finished!!!
The Family room has been painted in a dark teal and trimmed out in white.
The crown molding is all that is left to do in here.
The entryway is being painted white.
Large's office is coming along.
Yes, that is a green and orange wall.
The dining room is ready for the grass cloth wallpaper to go up.
Slowly but surely it is all getting done.
Large has set a move in date of April 1st.
Yay!!!
What do you think so far????
I would love to hear your opinion.

Inspiration Houses
There are several homes that are out there on other blogs that are very inspirational to me.
Here is one of my very favorites.
This is part of Serena's new home from www.thefarmchicks.com.
Her laundry/mudroom is fantastic.
This is part of Serena's new home from www.thefarmchicks.com.
Her laundry/mudroom is fantastic.
This kitchen is so light and airy.
I love it.
I love the ceiling, the farmhouse sink, the quartz countertop, the white subway tile, and much more.
I think the lighting is very cool.
Then there is a built-in downdraft fan, behind the cook top.
There is not anything that she hasn't planned out.
It has a cutting board built in and you can scrape the scraps straight into the compost bin below.
Genius!
