The 1/2 Bath

The guest bathroom is done and decorated.

This is a picture of it from the hallway.

The little red step stool in the corner is just like the one my brother and I had when we were children.

It says,
 "This little stool is mine
To use it all the time
To reach the things I couldn't
And lots of things I shouldn't "

I am loving the black and white tile, it turned out great!

I added some zebra and aqua hand towels on a glass and brass towel bar.
Then I hung a black and white farm print.

This light was very, very dark and dreary, but Big Ran and I scrubbed on it, rewired it, and polished it up.
It adds a lot to this spot.

I had this mirror in my storage room at the old house.
It was painted a light yellow, so I grabbed the black spray paint and it turned out perfect for this room.

It was really hard to find a sink small enough to fit in here without the door hitting it when you opened the door.

We added an antique bronze faucet to the sink.

An old wooden step stool holds the extra toilet paper and another hand towel.

I just haven't been able to put any rugs in here, the floor is my favorite thing in the room!

What do you think?

How Do You Like Gray?

The master bedroom is painted!

I painted the ceiling white and the walls gray.

This is what is left of the lighting that I had planned for this room.
There was an accident.

Lucky for me, I found this replacement on eBay!

It's all coming together.

Lighting Redo

I bought this old light on eBay about a year ago for $12.00 including shipping.

Not much to look at.

Big Ran and I have been working on polishing this baby up on and off for about six months.

Here it is all torn apart after it was scrubbed and polished up.

This light was patented in May of 1910.

I can't believe we found a date on it.

This was a labor of love.

It's not perfect, but it is perfect for our house.

I can't wait to get this put up in the new house.

I'm thinking maybe the half bath room.
