The Livingroom Reveal
The living room is finally finished!
Our decision to put the aqua color on the walls was because there are a lot of huge windows in this room.
It turned out great!
It is super hard to take pictures of this room because of the glare from the windows, so bare with me.
This is a picture of the sitting area of the living room.
We went with all white trim and crown molding.
Below is the wall the I refer to as the windmill tail wall.
Here is the big, black, leather sectional that sits in front of the television.
Soooooo comfy!!!!
A close up of some of my favorite things.
Some fall decorating inside an old lantern.
More fall goodies.
A shot of the crown molding and the light blue ceiling.
An antique thermos with a little follage in it.
I did a video of this room too, if you would like to see it click on the link below.
I hope you enjoyed this post.

The Master Bedroom
Here are some pictures of the master bedroom.
I don't have a lot of decorations on the walls yet.
It's hard to put holes in the walls when you have done all of the painting, sanding, taping, etc. to them.
The ceiling is white.
The walls are a medium gray.
The trim in this room is a darker gray.
We have the bamboo flooring in here.

I do have a canvas print of a pier headed to the beach between the accordion lamps above our bed.
This chandelier has been through a lot already, but she makes the room.
Here is a closer picture of the headboard.
It is a gray linen fabric with silver tacks.
Right above the headboard is a double switch.
One is for the reading lamps above the bed and the other is for the chandelier in the middle of the room.
This was brilliant!!!!
No more clapping your hands trying to get the "Clapper" to turn your lights off!!!
This is a picture of my best friend.
I wouldn't sleep a wink if not for this little guy.
Over in a corner I have a lounge chair with a Shafer pillow, a reading lamp on a mirrored end table, and a sheepskin rug, that Champ loves.
This is a close up shot of the mercury curtain rods and the white ruffled curtains that I finally decided on.
I only took back three sets of curtains in order to find the right ones!!!
The television hanging on the wall above the dresser.
The other piece of artwork that I have hung in here is a picture of Large and me when we took a trip to Chicago before we were married.
All of the writing on it is from the people who attended our wedding reception wishing us well.
Something I love!!!
If you look closely at it you can see where my dad wrote,
"Love you
Mom and Dad"
It brings tears to my eyes every time I see it.
A treasure for me.
The rug in here is an indoor/outdoor rug.
It looks like a worn Persian rug, so cool.
I will keep you updated on the decorating in this room, as I tend to change things around a bit.
I like the white bedding for the summer, but fall is just around the corner!!!
What do you think?

The 1/2 Bath
The guest bathroom is done and decorated.
This is a picture of it from the hallway.
The little red step stool in the corner is just like the one my brother and I had when we were children.
It says,
"This little stool is mine
To use it all the time
To reach the things I couldn't
And lots of things I shouldn't "
I am loving the black and white tile, it turned out great!
I added some zebra and aqua hand towels on a glass and brass towel bar.
Then I hung a black and white farm print.
This light was very, very dark and dreary, but Big Ran and I scrubbed on it, rewired it, and polished it up.
It adds a lot to this spot.
I had this mirror in my storage room at the old house.
It was painted a light yellow, so I grabbed the black spray paint and it turned out perfect for this room.
It was really hard to find a sink small enough to fit in here without the door hitting it when you opened the door.
We added an antique bronze faucet to the sink.
An old wooden step stool holds the extra toilet paper and another hand towel.
I just haven't been able to put any rugs in here, the floor is my favorite thing in the room!

The Guest Room
The guest room is finally ready for its first guest!
My granddaughter, Gracyn, is coming for a short visit.
I was going to decorate in red, white, and blue, but Gracyn's favorite color is pink.
So I tried to go that way as much as I could.
I love this picture of the old truck and sunflowers, it brings all of the colors in the room together.
I think this spot will be used a lot when she is here!
This teeny, tiny door is a fairy door.
There is an equally tiny key for the fairy to use if you are a good little girl.
Rumor has it that she leaves fairy dust every where she goes!
I have found that I am liking vintage furniture more and more.
This chair is sooooo cool.
The star lights are even prettier when lit up at night.
She is all about Pinkalicious!
The little clay bowls are Madison's and Nic's creations from grade school.
I put old game pieces in one of them.
This dresser is very old.
I added a few of my things that I had when I was a little girl to this spot.
This is one of my favorite lights.
A great garage sale find!
Champ loves it already!
I hope you like it, too!!

The Downstairs Hallway
This post is 4th in a series of finished rooms in the new house.
Downstairs Hallway
The downstairs hallway is finished.
This hallway is when you come in from the garage to the kitchen.
There are four little rooms off of this hallway.
The EXIT room (which I have already shown you), the 1/2 Bath, the laundry room, and the pantry.
On the walls we hung grass cloth wallpaper with board and baton on the lower half.
This star light is my favorite light that we have in our house.
It lets off a great display on the walls and ceiling!
The ceiling and trim are white.
On the floor is the same tile that is in the EXIT room.
What do you think???
More rooms are finishing up everyday!

The Exit Room
Here is the second post in a series of finished rooms.
In case you missed the first one it was on the dining room.
I'm going to start posting the rooms that we have finished as we finish them.
In case you missed the first one it was on the dining room.
I'm going to start posting the rooms that we have finished as we finish them.
They are not cleaned or decorated, but they will all have flooring, lighting, and all of the construction done on them.
This is the "EXIT" room.
This room is to the left when you walk in the house from the garage.
This room is to the left when you walk in the house from the garage.
This view is from the back porch looking in through the hallway and ending at the half bathroom door.
The walls are painted green.
The trim is all white.
The door to the right is oak, it leads to the attic above the garage.
The picture below is from the hallway out to the back porch.
We are planning on adding a pool out there where all that nice dirt is as soon as we can.
So, when that is done, you will be able to get from the pool to the half bathroom easily.
This porcelain tile is what we have in here, the hallway, and the entry way.
You can't tell by the pictures here, but this flooring has brown, tan, and grey in it.
This is why I refer to this small hallway as "The Exit Room".
I found this light on Ebay and I couldn't resist!
Needless to say, it was the starting point for this room.
Next up in the series is the upstairs hallway.
